High Friction Surfaces are created by applying a special epoxy coating to the base pavement and seeding this coating with high friction aggregates. This creates a skid resistant surface that improves safety. Various color options are also available to designate safety zones (i.e. crosswalks, sharp curves, etc.) Decorative Coatings are installed using a similar installation method with the primary focus on color and texture to enhance the pavement's appearance. This is achieved by using colored aggregate to create an overall color and texture that complements the surrounding landscape. Decorative coatings also provide skid resistant characteristics.
